Created by Taiwan-based KC Design Studio, this project entitled “Tsao residence – room partitions” is a perfect example of creative and highly practical apartment renovation.

Built in a recently renovated apartment in Taipei, the project utilised rotating partitions that serve to divide four spaces into one open-plan are, resulting in a more versatile living space that can be rearranged according to the needs of the inhabitants.

The first partition feature a moving screen/TV housing that pivots to divide the living room from kitchen; a second panel that serves as an elegant bookshelf is positioned between the bedroom and study.  The simple black and white color palette helps give this space gets a touch of classy elegance and complements well with the white walls and the dark timber flooring.
